RandyL Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Hi stylianou; I have thoroughly reread every post in that thread and in your previous thread when you still had this laptop. I will attempt to explain. I firmly believe that there is no longer a valid OS on it due to what noose or the shop may have done such as failed formats and reinstallation. Either way this computer is long overdue for a complete reinstallation. Short term solutions are not the way to go and I doubt if it is possible. Any XP recovery disks for this model would have the sata drivers on them. The fact that they don't implies that these disks are incorrect for what ever reason. noose even said they were the wrong ones. noose needs to obtain the proper recovery disks for that model and do the install. We can not help with installing from the wrong disks as this violates our rules. We have spent a lot of time on this and got a lot of confusing information but have finally reached the conclusion that noose needs to get these disks from fujitsu even though it will cost money. There is no other viable solution. I'm sorry but not all solutions are free. Besides it is important to have these disks anyway. We are all members helping other members.
