Hi folks im having some problems when playing Battlefield 2. Its crashing back to desktop all the time now after around 5-10 mins of playing ive uninstalled everything to do with the game and installed it agian patches ect. and punkbuster. I dont dont any error msg it just freezes and crashes to desktop.. Any ideas this is driving me nuts thanks guys..

Get rid of punkbuster - it takes over your port control and is most likely the reason you are having issues - make sure that the ports are set correctly for the game and in the allowed section of the firewall

You do need punkbuster for some of the more popular ones - check the ports first - but I will still say that PB is a pain
