That doesn't sound like Microsoft to me, but I don't know much.

 

In most of my programs I can't tell rn from m. or rrm from who knows

what. This one has serifs and I can see the gaps, but the ones

that don't have them are real hard to read.

Generic Windows 98 Product Key

 

I decided to re-post this so that if someone googles for this subject,

they will find it.

I got this key from Microsoft. They said it would work with *all*

CDs, and said, "feel free to pass this on".

I guess since they don't support it anymore, there's no reason to

keep it a secret anymore. Anyway, the generic key is:

VP9VV-VJW7Q-MHY6W-JK47R-M2KGJ

Be sure you look closely at the letters. On my LCD monitor, it is

difficult to see the difference between the single letter W and VV,

which is two letters "V".

In the first block, VP9 is followed by two V's. The rest are W's.
