Local modem speed in teminal server session

We are planning on publishing an application through terminal

services. Our remote offices will no longer have a local install of

this application but will still need to retain full functionality. The

issue we are having right now is currently the users have the ability

to send a fax from inside the application.

We want them to still be able to send the fax from their local machine

while the data is held in the terminal server session but when tested

all the data is being sent through the terminal server session

connection so is limited by the session bandwidth. Is there any way to

get the local modem to send it's traffic outside of the terminal

session which will remove the limitation as these can be quite large

faxes so slowing them down would cause issues to users. The users are

all connected to the terminal server session through a high bandwidth

internet provider so the local modem is not in use during the session

The failback option we have is to attach a modem pool to the terminal

servers but we would prefer to keep the faxing local to the branch

offices.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Stuart

No, you can't access your local modem from within your TS session.
