Terminal Server MSDN Licensing

I have a MSDN subscription Win 2003 Server with a terminal server installed.

When trying to connect to it, I am getting a message stating that a licensing

server cannot be found. I have no problem installing it, but part of the

installation procedure is activating the license server and purchasing CALs.

Do I really need to purchase CALs even if I have an active MSDN subscription?

Re: Terminal Server MSDN Licensing

From the MSDN Subscription FAQ

http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/faq/

"Do MSDN subscriptions include CALs for Terminal Services?

Yes. To install client access licenses (CALs), please follow these

instructions."

which links to:

Terminal Services Licensing Instructions for MSDN, Microsoft

Certified Partner, and MSCTEC Programs

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/aa948876.aspx

"Qualified members of the MSDN, Microsoft Certified Partner, and

MSCTEC programs may only use the Telephone connection method to

install client licenses. You will need to provide your customer

identification number (e.g., MSDN Subscriber ID, Microsoft

Certified Partner ID) for your program when installing licenses."
