What's the difference between setting home directory via the profile tab or Terminal Services tab?

Gurus,

In Active Directory, you can set the user's home directory via the Profile

tab. I also noticed you can set it via the "Terminal Services Profile" tab

as well. In a terminal services environment, since both map the home

directory equally as well, basically what's the advantage or disadvantage of

either?

Hi,

This feature is used when you need to have a different

home directory assigned when users logon via TS versus

when they logon to a regular workstation. If you do not

have a need for them to be different then leave the TS

Home folder field blank--in this case the home folder

on the Profile tab will be apply.

Typically the more important thing is to make sure a

different *profile* is used for Terminal Services sessions.

This can be accomplished by forcing local profiles on

the TS or assigning a TS User Profile.
