And where does it say that it can?

It is not listed as being compatible to 2008!

I don't think MS care too much about this. Nero is a desktop software,

workstation oriented, while Windows 2008 is server oriented.

 

I don't think MS will support burning software on Server platform...

This is a release candidate. The goal is to make the product available

before the first release, so software editors and IT staff can anticipate,

test, validate their products on the platform.

Bug report is always useful for editor, and I am sure MS would like feebacks

from you. I am just not sure this is the best place for that.

I see bug report about Nero 8 & Windows defender, so i guess you found it

already...
