Terminal Server Licensing, move CAL's?

Hi,

 

I have a question about my CAL's installed on a 2003 Licensing Server (Same

as terminal server). Now I want to install Windows Server 2008 (RC0) and run

on this. Can I move my CAL's from 2003 Licensing server to a new 2008

Licensing, and if yes how do I do this the right way?

A 2008 TS Licensing Server can handle W2K, 2003 and 2008 TS CALs, so

that's no problem.

But licenses cannot be moved, not between 2003 TS Licensing Servers

either.

So you have to call the Clearinghouse and asked them to re-issue your

licenses for installation on the new LS.

Sure. Call the Clearing House. Just be sure to put their number on

"speed dial"... ;-)
