Guest RistoH Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Hi. I have a server with alot of old hidden devices and sometimes the server crasches with a stop code 0x0000008e. I haven't been able to investigate the dump file yet because it has been corrupt to see what module or device is causing the crashes. Can the old hidden devices cause any crashes even when they are uninstalled but are still in the Device manager? The property page says this "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) Running on 2003 sp1

(Code 45) If you want to remove those hidden devices, see this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315539 I had to do that with a network card not too long ago. -- Jack Doyle, Systems Engineer ScriptLogic Corporation http://www.scriptlogic.com
