Hi All- I'm looking around for a decent free backup utility that I can

run on Windows 98SE. Everything I've found online or at a store that

seems decent is not supported by win98. Anyone out there running

something that works well? I'm fine with a simple tool or disk imaging

utility. I need something!! Thanks in advance.

If its just some files or folders, then use one of the zip programs, saving

the folder structure.

If its imaging your looking for: BING, partition-saving.com, and several

others are available.

If you don't mind paying a few dollars, run a websearch on DriveImage 2002.

Check the web site of the manufacturer of your hard drive for a

drive copy utility. I use Max Blast by Maxtor. It works on 98, XP

and DOS. In DOS it may tell you one of the drives is not a Maxtor

but it copies anyway. You can put it on a floppy and use it in DOS.

You can copy drives or folders, whatever you want. Other Hard Drive

Utilities may do the same.

Thanks for all your responses. I'll look in to some of the utilities

you mention and hopefully I'll end up with something I like.
