Ian Smith Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Each time I boot the computer it shows a checksum error and stops. I press F1 to load the defaults and all is ok except that I have to set the time and date each time. I have no idea why the system is doing this and would like some help in trying to correct this. RandyL Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Hi Ian Smith; The most likely cause is a bad CMOS battery. Cheap to buy and easy to replace. There are a couple other possibilities but I would try that first; RandyL Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else.
