Guest Don Devenney Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong forum - this is the closest I could find. I've "been the route" on the support site as far as the upcoming time changes are concerned. I was easily able to find / download the appropriate files for desktops, servers, etc. HOWEVER, they're all ".exe" files - I need (at least I think I do) ".msi" files so that I can push this update out via GPO. Any thoughts as to a)where I can get these files as ".msi" files or b) how I can use GPO to push them out? Thanks for your help
Guest Justin Rich Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Re: Daylight Saving Time changes i believe this falls under a windows update so you should be using WSUS and not GPO to deploy updates. GPO really isnt the best method for that.. If you dont want to go that route you could create a login script that installs the update. i would imagine that this update is like all others where you can slap a /q on it and have it go to town. Guest Don Devenney Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Re: Daylight Saving Time changes Thanks Justin, Normally I would use WSUS but for some reason I haven't figured out yet this update doesn't appear during synchronisation. Same with a few other ones (Office SP3, for instance)...and yet I've got it set pretty much wide open in terms of the updates, service packs, etc it's supposed to be synchronising. Ah well, another mystery for another day. Thanks for your help "Justin Rich" wrote: > i believe this falls under a windows update so you should be using WSUS and > not GPO to deploy updates.
