mikeywikey Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Each time I run SUPERAntiSpyware I notice that in addition to the usual amount of Adware Tracking Cookies I now have two "Adware.MyWebSearch/FunWebProducts" appear. Is the SUPERAntiSpyware not getting rid of this threat? What is the problem please? Quote
RandyL Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Hi mikey; You need to go to add/remove programs in the control panel and uninstall anything that looks remotely like MyWeb. Search engines, toolbars, smilies etc. first. After that scan again and all should be well. Quote We are all members helping other members. mikeywikey Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 Thank you for that RandyL. I couldn't see anything obvious in the programme list so ran SUPERAntiSpyware again. When this MyWeb threat came up again I went into it more deeply and managed to deleted ... I was invited to reboot, which I did, ran SAS again and it was clear. Thanks for your help.
