Hi. I have a Belkin G+ wireless modem, that I want to connect to my computer wireless. I have no adaptor at the moment. Do you know what one I need? Do I go for a Belkin make or can I go for a different make? If I go for a different make it will be cheaper.

I am running XP on a Dell Dimension 4600 which is about 4 years old, also running Internet speed of 100Mbps with Virgin Media.

Happy New Year to you all

Hi Walt

Can I just ask why you want to connect a desktop wirelessly?

Are there obstructions in the way?

You don't need the same make adapter.

There are lots of adapters out there, I guess it's each to their own. Personally I don't like the bottom range Belkin adapters, I've seen loads of people have random connections issues with them.

Netgear ones are ok, they run a bit hot, but work fine.

I like these

ZyXEL ZyAIR G-202 USB Adapter - Ebuyer

They used to be bundled with Zyxel routers, now you can buy them seperately, good value, good signal, stable and reliable........
