Hi, I'm running Vista home basic on Dell Inspiron 1501 and the screensaver won't come on nor will the display turn off. Any ideas please. Thanks, Ani:o

Hello;

Have you checked your screensaver options? Can you let us know what they are?

Right click on the desktop and click Personalize to see the options.

To set the display options double click Power Options in the Classic View of the control panel.

Hello Anil. There are many articles that give insight into your problem and list their possible solutions. I am listing three below for you.

The screen saver does not start after you install a wireless pointing device

The screen saver does not work when you use a Microsoft wireless pointing device on a Windows Vista-based computer

Screen Saver Doesn't Activate in Vista

Hope that helps. :)
