Guest CRSTeK Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I am trying to perform a perfmon on some win2k boxes, but the counter option is not there... I've been researching and cannot seem to find anything... Is there a hot fix link somewhere? Thanks, Lance
Guest Dave Patrick Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Re: windows 2000 server perfmon issues You can Add/Remove them by regedit, but it's much easier to use exctrlst.exe (Extensible Counter Listing Tool) from the resource kit to enable/ disable the counters. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=7ff99683-b7ec-4da6-92ab-793193604ba4&displaylang=en -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. Guest CRSTeK Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Re: windows 2000 server perfmon issues Let me explain further maybe this might make a difference... The add counter feature on ALL of my Windows 2000 servers is not there, just object... When i drill down to logical disk it is not there... If i update it, it's there, but then it's greyed out.. Guest Dave Patrick Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Re: windows 2000 server perfmon issues Are you saying the "Add Counters" button is missing? You only have two buttons "Add Objects" and "Remove"? What do you mean by "If i update it"? and what is greyed out? -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup.
