Guest JustinD Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Is there a way to set the computer so that a program automatically starts up when the machine gets turned on? right now I have it so it starts when the admin logs in but I want it to start up without anybody logging in. If I remember right there is a way to do that in the registry.

If it isn't doing that already, perhaps it isn't designed to be run on a server and you might look at an alternate application. That said, you can *make* many things run as a service - check out srvany from the resource kit. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/137890
Guest JustinD Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Re: Program Startup It is a dedicated server for a online game. Right now I just have the shortcut dragged into the startup folder. it is called dedicated.exe "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: > JustinD <JustinD@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > Is there a way to set the computer so that a program automatically > > starts up when the machine gets turned on? right now I have it so it > > starts when the admin logs in but I want it to start up without > > anybody logging in. If it dosn't, you will have to setup autologon on this server. > > "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: > >> JustinD <JustinD@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >>> Is there a way to set the computer so that a program automatically >>> starts up when the machine gets turned on? right now I have it so it >>> starts when the admin logs in but I want it to start up without >>> anybody logging in.
