Decomission first DC in AD

Hi All,

We have a server running 2003 standard. It is an old SBS server

transitioned to 2003 and therefore is the first server in our domain and

probably running all the AD services and roles still, together with Exchange.

I have migrated exchage to a new server and have a decomission plan for it.

however...

i need to decomission this server as a matter of urgency. can anyone point

me towards decomission tasks list to migrate all the AD roles to a second DC

that already exists in the environment.

How to transfer FSMO roles:

Also do not forget the Global catalog and DNS configuration for the servers

and clients. If necessary reconfigure DHCP options.
