Guest administration of sharepoints 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Hallo, 1. I tell my OS configuration of server (we call it as a Interlab server). HD= 1.8TB; Ram= 4GB; 4 Processors; Xeon 3Ghz; RAID 5; OS= wk3. On this server we have a testing S/W called a "Interlab" and mysql 4.1 and mysql database is 20 GB. we access it via web for running test cases. we have many test cases on it, each page can show 100 test cases. if i click next page for 101 - 200 test cases then it takes "18 secs". on the Task manager: 1. 1st mysql takes 25 % of cpu for 1 - 2 secs. and then Interlab.exe takes 25 % of cpu 16 - 18 secs. 2. Configuration of my laptop: Hd= 100 GB, Ram= 1GB, 2 CPUs Intel core 2 GHz; OS = xp pro with sp2. if i do the same thing like what i did on the server, it takes only "2 secs" and not taking cpu more than 2% Note: on both systems we have same version of Interlab SW and mysql server and same database in size also. No load on the server while testing. Question: 1. why the server takes more time even though it has good configuration than xp system? 2. is it SW or HW or OS problem? 3. as i told, on server we have 4 CPUs, on 4 cpus the performance graph is same. how can i know which processor using what CPU core and do we have any monitoring tools for multi processor other than task manager for this purpose. I would deeply appreciate any help regarding this issue.
