Hi, I have a DELL C521 with a Dell Inc 0HY175 A03 motherboard. What im trying to find out is what CPU's I can use as I wish to install a faster one. Currently using 2.60 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, 128 kilobyte primary memory cache, 1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache.

I have done a search but cant seem to find info on this board for CPU's.

Not phoned Dell yet, that will be last resort as they are not always that helpful.

The problem you are having is that Dell does not make motherboards and the number you have given seems to be a Dell identifier. If dell does not post the specs it will be difficult to give you the answers but that does not mean nobody here has the info you need.

What does it tell you in the POST screen when you boot?

Hello crazzzi,

Just thought I would add a bit more info.

Heres your computer details.

I would wait for one of the PROs to come online, they will tell you what is the best CPU you can buy.

Intel Quad Core Q6600

Asus Maximus Extreme

2.5Gb DDR3 1066Mhz (2Gb OCZ Gold Edition & 512Mb Generic)

ATI Radeon HD2600XT

There isn't much info for that board is there.

The chipset is an nvidia 6150 le, and even looking at supported CPU's for that is rather precarious.

It's possible that any Athlon 64 x 2 will work, but only Dell will know exactly.

If you are unsure what to do you really must ask Dell on this one.
