remote desktop and Terminal service

Hi,

 

What is the different between Remote Desktop and Terminal service?

 

If I install Terminal service, Do I still need enable "Enable Remote Desktop

on this computer " option in system properties ?

Remote Desktop for Administration allows a maximum of 2 (+1)

connections to the server, by default for Administrators only,

without extra licensing requirements.

 

Terminal Services (sometimes called "Application mode TS") allows

for as many concurrent normal users as your hardware can support.

You will need a TS Licensing Server and a purchased TS CAL for

every connecting user or computer.

After you install TS, you will still have 1 free connection to the

console for an Administrator. And Remote Desktop must be enabled,

also after you install TS.
