Hello Fabio,

Why will you deinstall the service pack, it is made for improvements and

security updates etc.?

I am running an app that only requires service pack 1.

Hello Fabio,

Did you check if the uninstall folder is theire? By default they are hidden.

C:\windows\$NTServicePackUninstall$

If not you can't, because windows have to rollback all files to the previous

version.

Best regards

I see a lot of the fallowing but not the one you listed:

C:\windows\$NtUninstallKB#####

kb###### indicates the number kb file reference.

Hello Fabio,

Then it was installed without archiving the old files. Did you talk to the

software vendor about SP2?

Best regards

Re: uninstalling service pack 2 from a preinstalled OS

Do you mean preinstalled on a new computer?

You can't remove it.

OEMs normally have the Service Packs slipstreamed into their

installation so there is no uninstall option.

"only requires service pack 1"

But will it work with Service Pack 2?

Check with the manufacturer about SP-2 support.

If the program manufacturer does not support the latest Service Pack,

it may be time to replace the program, and maybe the vender as well.
