Re: increasing disk space

You must manually create the CD.

http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

If you need to add Dell Perc driver or other things, you may have a look on

my blog, i have some post about it.

This type of CD is always useful anyway

Re: increasing disk space

I'm just going to toss this out there for you and am not 100 % sure this is

your issues. But according to what I've read on this it appears you cannot

extend your partition because the "unallocated" space does not reside at the

end of your partition. You say you have 1 volume but 2 partitions which I'm

assuming is a primary and then an extended partition. That said the

unallocated space does not reside at the end of your partition because you

have an extended partition at the end of your volume. Again this is just my

view on it as to why your cannot extend your partition.

I figured that after I posted.

I'm spinning my wheels. Now PEBuilder cannot find windows installation files.

Re: increasing disk space

take care when building:

Dell driver only works with a 2003 CD.

For XP, you need the LSI logic driver:

http://gollum123.free.fr/LSI_XP_perc5/

If using a 2003 SP1 CD or XP SP2, you need additionnals plugin to get

diskpart working:

Re: increasing disk space

You can use nlite (freeware) to add drivers into the 2003 CD:

http://www.nliteos.com/

(You can also use it to unattend or slipstream Service pack)

Else you may use the Dell official CD to install OS.

Re: increasing disk space

Hey Mathieu,

Just wanted to post and thank you for your assistance. I extended my

partition this weekend and no problems. Everything went smooth. and took

about 2 minutes. I was amazed. Thanks again.
