Hi all,

Just joined..... and here I am already with a question.

I have sitting here a new HP C7280 printer, I thought I had broken my HP950 earlier in the week but its sorted itself out, is ok considering its really quite old but doesn`t print pictures or anything decent.

Got this new one from Staples for £109. I have since been told that it is going to cost me megga bucks to run. I get cartridges that are compatable and the bloke in the cartridge shop said that I would need about 3 for every one I had been buying for the old printer, so it would be really expensive to run.

I know the new one does everything apart from make the tea, but thought it would be nice to be able to print the odd photo if needed, we have a laptop and my new desktop which are both wireless and so is this printer ( I also use it for printing newsletters 200 twice a year, signs, stuff for my job, homework topics for daughter) He charges £34.99 for a full set of cartridges for the new printer.

Really worried now that I have made a mistake. My original HP has been so reliable - its just old.

Any advice would be really appreciated if you know anything about this printer and how many prints it actually does (ish).

Thanks
