Recently erected a std 2003 server to handle some email accounts I have. All

went fine for a couple months, then for no apperant reason I can find, it

just stopped sending messages. Recieves ok, I've checked the SMTP side all

seems ok there?

Hello Richard,

Please give mor info about the "handling" of you email. Is it a mail server

like exchange or something else? Or how did you use it?

Best regards

Re: Std 2003 email server stops sending

Hi, thanks for your reply.

It is the basic POP3 email server included in the Windows Server 2003x64.

And a further observation of problem is my outlook client can not connect to

the server now where it used to. I'm not aware of any changes to either the

client

or the Server except patches. It just stopped working.--

Re: Std 2003 email server stops sending

I found it, I'm such a nim nim at times.

I don't login into that server as anything but the Supervisor, so I would

not have known that the usernames I created for the email passwords would

have expired.

But that's exactly what happened. So I checked "password never expires" in

the AD account and away we went...

Thanks for your help
