I ghosted an image of a dc and turned it off and left it off for a few days.

The original dc is still on and running.

I then added a second dc with dcpromo etc....

I setup dns replication zone transfers etc with dc1

Then i turned off dc1.

I then turned on the image of dc1 i made few days ago which does not know

dc2 is in the domain.

the image of dc1 and dc1 has same ip, name etc....

Now i am missing dc2 in aduc in dc1. but dc2 is present in aduc in dc2

what do i do now? semms a little messy

thanks

Re: problem

Hello NoBoDy,

For what reason did you do this? Imaging a DC and bringing it back some days

later is the badest thing you could do. You actually see live that it will

not work this way. DC1 image doesn't know anything about the new DC, so it

will not replicate. Maybe you can bring it together with authoritative restore.
