Guest Tango Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hi, When i go to http://server/certsrv on a vista machine i get error message The certificate enrollment page you are attempting to access cannot be used with this version of Windows. To enable Web certificate enrollment for clients running Windows Vista, your administrator must update all Windows CA Web enrollment pages. To learn more about this issue and the steps needed to update Web enrollment pages to support all versions of Windows, see: 922706 when i go to that page it talks about adding files from a server 2008 disk which i dont have. is their a quicker & easier solution like a hotfix or something. thank you

Guest Jabez Gan [MVP] Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Re: Certificate Request from Vista Client Hey Tango, Sorry I thought you checked out a different Support KB page. May I know what server are you running? Win2003 or Win2008? If you are using WIn2008, you need not do anything, and it should work. If it doesn't, can you further explain what you are seeing (error? )? If you are using Win2003, you will need to install the "Longhorn" Certificate enrollmetn web pages. Please see the earlier link I sent. -- Jabez Gan Microsoft MVP: Windows Server - File Storage "Tango" <Tango@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:57494FB1-9309-4647-9419-9AAC15C7E55F@microsoft.com... > Thanks for your reponse Jabez, > > Thats the article i was referring to in my post. > > i was hoping there was an easier way or perhaps i was looking at the wrong > section. Guest Jon Heese Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Re: Certificate Request from Vista Client I think it's fairly obvious that the original poster is not running Windows Server 2008, otherwise he never would have had the problem to begin with. And you refer him back to the same KB article that talks about a hotfix, but then never provides a link to it, or any way to get it, and says that you must copy files from a 2008 Server... But what if you don't have a 2008 server? I'm having the same problem as Tango and I'm in the same situation. How are we supposed to get the 922706 hofix? The standard hotfix request page (https://support.microsoft.com/contactus2/ emailcontact.aspx?scid=sw;en;1410&WS=hotfix) doesn't work... Any ideas? Is there a phone number I can call to get someone to send me this hotfix?
