Guest Kelly [MCSE] Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hey everyone...I've tried everything to disable driver signing in Server 2008 Enterprise RC0 x64 and cannot do it. I've used the bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS and I've used GPEdit.msc to disable driver signing in the Local GPO, but it still will not let the driver run. (It is for VMWare Server 1.0.4, which works find on Server 2003 x86) I suppose I could install the x86 version of Server 2008, and I'm sure it will run fine, but everything is going 64-bit anyways, and I'd like to head in that direction. I've read about the 'F8 solution' (pressing F8 on boot and disabling driver signing through there), but this server is remote and cannot be F8'ed everything it is booting. Anyone have any other solutions/ideas? Thanks everyone! ~Kelly

Hey Kelly, What about: Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON ? -- Jabez Gan Microsoft MVP: Windows Server - File Storage "Kelly [MCSE]" <kelly.t.reardon@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1193668310.880527.154440@k79g2000hse.googlegroups.com... > Hey everyone...I've tried everything to disable driver signing in > Server 2008 Enterprise RC0 x64 and cannot do it. Guest Kelly [MCSE] Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Re: Disable driver signing in Server 2008 RC0? Jabez: Thanks for the idea. Tried it and still nothing. Now, as far as these BCD changes go, I've been running the command and rebooting and then checking to see if the service that depends on the driver is starting and they won't. I've also tried to run the command and then manually start the service immediately, still nothing. Am I missing something or does Server 2008 just not allow you to turn that off? ~Kelly On Oct 29, 10:45 am, "Jabez Gan [MVP]" <mingte...@blizNOSPAMhosting.com> wrote: > Hey Kelly, > > What about: > Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON > ? > > -- > Jabez Gan > Microsoft MVP: Windows Server - File Storage"Kelly [MCSE]" <kelly.t.rear...@gmail.com> wrote in message > > news:1193668310.880527.154440@k79g2000hse.googlegroups.com... > > > Hey everyone...I've tried everything to disable driver signing in > > Server 2008 Enterprise RC0 x64 and cannot do it.
