Guest Jason Huang Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Hi, I just installed the Windows Server 2003 R2 on a newly bought Asus machine, it was all fine until the installation of the Windows Server 2003 SP2. There was an error message saying something like can't copy linkinfo.dll. I'm not sure what could've been wrong with my new server, please give me some advice. Thanks for help. Jason

Guest Meinolf Weber Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Re: windows server 2003 R2 SP2 install fail Hello Jason, Nice to hear that you solved it. Can be that the On Access scan takes a long time, which can block the installation. Did you enable AntiVirus afterwards? Guest Jason Huang Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Re: windows server 2003 R2 SP2 install fail Thanks Meinolf. The Antivirus was just disabled temporarily for installing the SP2. After rebooting the Windows 2003, the Antivirus still works fine. I was thinking maybe the antivirus software lock on the linkinfo.dll file for particular reason.
