Guest Elliott Gaskill Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Uh I know this may not be the right place to ask, but I have an office move coming up and I'm trying to determine the AC unit I need to get for the server room. The room is 11'2" x 9'0" x 9'0" for a total of roughly 905 cubic feet of space. All of the equipment should consume at absolute peak 9000watts. Now I just took the peak input wattage on all of the power supplies and UPS's and such and added them. I know that most likely the amount consumed will be less, but I don't know anything about that kind of stuff. If anyone can help me out with my problem, or direct me where to ask I'd be very appreciative. Thanks! -- Elliott Gaskill IT Director ADx, Inc.

Bring in a licensed HVAC contractor and ask them. If you over build the HVAC system, so that it short cycles, it's worse than under building it - you can freeze the coils and cause the system to fail and cause your cooling to be lost. Since you're going to have to pay for the HVAC installation, just find a qualified contractor and they will do all the work (spec) for you. -- Leythos - Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum. - Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist" spam999free@rrohio.com (remove 999 for proper email address)
