Daft answer phone messages.

After a conversation which reminded me of this, I had a friend who's answer phone message was this-

"Hello, thanks for calling. The answer phone is away on holiday at the moment and this is the refrigerator speaking, please leave your message after the tone, and I will stick it on my door with a magnet.

 

Has any one heard, or read of, any other silly or daft messages.

I absolutly HATE people who have theirs as if they are there answering the phone,

 

My brothers used to be:

 

"Hey!, you okay?

Sorry, what?

Say that again, I cant hear you, my signal is bad..."

*Answer machine Beep*

Or the ones that leave a message but you get that high pitched screech just before you can leave your message - eek!

 

But although I'd heard of this before and always considered it a joke, when I phoned a friend, her little one picked up the phone. I asked if her mommy was there, please ... and she said, "Yes" - and then hung up.

"Roses are red, booger's are green please leave your message on this stupid machine."

 

"Roses are red, violets are blue,

Sugar is sweet, and so are you

The roses have wilted, the violets are dead,

The sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head

The roses stink, sorta like sheep

But leave your name, number, and message after the beep

The roses are molding, the violets are rotten

And I might call you back, if I haven't forgotten"

i've always wanted to use a clip from a movie...but then i realize how awkward it would be, so i haven't yet. It would also be pretty cool to do one of those corny movie answering machines where they have the family do like a personalized song etc. It would be so perfect, because it would catch everyone off guard...and only my close friends would know not to take it seriously.lol:p
