Bill it is always best to avoid any program in its beta stage as that a statement by the publisher that it remains under test. I would assume that you can uninstall it through "add or remove programs" in your control panel. That should roll it back to your previous version ot IE.

I personally really like Firefox but you will find that others insist that IE7 remains better. I would suggest you install it and use it for a while before you make it your default browser.

Then it will be up to you to decide which you prefer. It is certainly compatible with your OS.

Hello Bill. Please use the instructions from here to uninstall Internet Explorer 8. Also, your computer specifications are more than enough to run Firefox so upgrade as soon as you can.

Hope that helps. :)

Thank you very much for your help, one thing I learned higher is not always better. Explorer eight was a disaster for me. Today , I going to install Firefox. One question , will I have trouble with the Windows pop-up block.

Pardon me but I don't quite understand what you mean by Windows pop-up block? But most probably, it won't effect Firefox in any way!
