Second post of the evening and I'm really looking for some friendly help here, coz I'm buggered if I know how to fix this latest problem. Yesterday my PC was working fine, no problems at all. Then, when I turned it on today as soon as I logged on I had the dreaded 'Error 0x0000007F BSoD'. If anyone can give me any advice on what may be causing this and what the remedy is if any then I'd be well chuffed. I have tried looking online for solutions but can't make any headway. The BSoD and reboot even happens in Safe Mode, which means that I get no time to check what services are running or whatnot. So there you have it. I'm stumped. Any help would be great. I see a lot of probable other causes from Norton to drivers to memory. Can you check your memory by swapping it out or removing one stick at a time? Quote We are all members helping other members. When is Safe Mode or Normal Mode with my Network Adapter disabled my PC works fine. Now then, I have a Sky router but using a Thompson Speedtouch adapter and it's worked fine for the last umpteen months without problem - Now suddenly is gone spazzy. I have tried to update my network driver, but Windows tells me that I have the latest drivers. So, anyone make anything of this mess? Any idea of how to rectify the problem? Many thanks again for your help. Matthew Edit: Apparently the wife bashed the wires/USB port at the rear of the PC where I assumt the Network Adapter/Card is. Could this have damaged it at all? If that doesn't cure it, remove the adapter, uninstall the drivers whilst in Safe Mode, and see if your PC will boot normally. All ok? Download the latest drivers for your adapter from here Thomson - Products & Services - xDSL Gateways & Accessories - Networking Accessories Run the installer. Plug in the adapter when prompted by the installer. Restart again and hopefully you'll be good to go. Quote

I removed the adapter via Device Manager but it still showed up in the Programmes List, however, I managed to remove it from there also. PC boots up just fine now.
