Windows 2003 ID Issues

I am trying to connect from one server to another. When I type in the

\\<servername> and hit enter, the server thinks about it for a while that

then says:

"<servername> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this

network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if

you have access permissions.

The network name cannot be found"

This only happens with one particular local user. All other users can get

challenged for authentication or it passes through if they are on the domain.

I can ping, nslookup, etc the remote server but cannot connect to it using

the method described above.

Also, neither servers event logs show anything with the failed attempt.

TIA

Assuming you have domain network, what does he receive if the user use this

command: net use \\servername /u:domainname:username?

Re: Windows 2003 ID Issues

I was able to connect once I entered my password. I then removed the

connection using the:

net use \\servername /d

now, I get the authentication box when I try to connect to the other server.

Was something blocking it until I connected as another user?
