Hi, i am new to this forum and would like a bit of advice please. I have recently reinstalled the XP home edition to my mums Dell Dimension 2400 pc after she had problems with it, all went well, but i was left with 2 problems, the screen resolution was not adjustable and the keyboard wasn't functioning completely correctly. In trying to adjust the screen resolution, I have stupidly disabled the screen display when I went into the adaptor screen, hence, when I turn the pc on, I can't see any display. Can anyone help me please, my mum is not happy!!

Try hooking it up to an external monitor -

you can also try and get into safe mode - as when you first turn the PC on you should see the post screen, YES?

I have solved the non appearance of the screen after my **** up, by reloading windows again.

I still can't adjust the screen resolution though! and it is frustrating.

any help folks?

Have you re-installed all the Dell drivers for that machine?
