Client Connection Manager still available?

On my old XP machine, in the Start/Programs list there was an item called

"Terminal Services Client" and below that was "Client Connection Manager"

which was basically a folder with a bunch of shortcuts for all of my terminal

services connections. I loved that because it made all the connections easy

to find and open, but with my new XP machine I don't see the "Terminal

Services Client" anymore... I have to connect going directly to the "Remote

Desktop Connection", which I don't think is as convenient to use.

How can I get the Client Connection Manager on to my new machine? It's XP

Professional, Version 2002 SP2.

Thanks!

John

Re: Client Connection Manager still available?

Hi John,

Client Connection Manager (conman.exe) no longer exists

in the newer client versions. You can achieve similar

functionality by saving .rdp files in a folder. This folder

will be like the connection manager screen:

- Double-click to connect to one of the saved connections (.rdp file)

- Right-click and choose Edit when you want to change settings

- When you want to create a new .rdp file right-click on an

existing one and choose Edit, modify settings as needed, then

click Save As and enter the new name

-TP
