Guest Judy Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I travel sometimes and log on to my office computer via remote desktop connection but I have problems being able to print documents on the local printer connected to my laptop. How do I get this problem solved?

How do I get this problem solved? Remote Desktop supports printing on simple printers but not on complex ones, e.g. "DOT4" printers. You can easily test your Remote Desktop setup like so: 1. Install the driver for an HP LJ 4L printer on your laptop. There is no need to physically connect such a printer. 2. Start an RDP session. 3. Check whether the 4L printer is visible in the RDP session. If it is then the RDP session is configured correctly but it does not support your actual printer.
