Guest Chris Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I installed a new server couple months ago and applied DST patch KB931836. But it didn't take effect this weekend. The time changed to standard time. I had to apply the new DST patch KB933360. But on a cluster I have KB931836 and it works good. Do I need to apply KB933360 too? Thanks.
Guest seth Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Re: Windows 2003 DST patch didn't work 933360 isn't exactly a patch, it's a utility that runs and modifies the registry entries with the updated time zone data; it doesn't change any system files alternatively, you can download the tzedit utility manually if you like and change the dst start/end times that way on the nodes wouldn't hurt to run it and it will show the dst start/end times "Chris" <Chris@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8DC4F95D-5D0E-455B-B8F2-FAB9CF9EDC87@microsoft.com... >I installed a new server couple months ago and applied DST patch KB931836. > But it didn't take effect this weekend. Guest Chris Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Re: Windows 2003 DST patch didn't work should KB931836 take care of DST in the first place? I downloaded and installed. Am I supposed to do anything else after that? I thought you only need to run the tool after you made the registry change for DST database. The patch kb931836 just need to be installed and it will take care time change itself.
