Cannot run executable file over network share on Windows Server

Recommended Posts

I have a Windows 2003 server that I am trying to run an executable file on

from a network share but keep getting an error that the network path is not

available or incorrect permissions. I am logged in as a domain admin.

Strangely enough if I log on locally to the pc (not the domain) and connect

to the network share, supplying username and password of domain admin when

accessing share, I can run the executable. I noticed that the security

settings for Internet are set to High and I cannot change this setting as

there is no other option (ie medium high, medium, low, etc.) however the

setting is the same when I log in locally and on the domain. I already

tried removing and readding the server to the domain but that did not work

either. Any ideas???

Have you check the permissions in the Security tab? Or this post may help.
