HELP! My Icons Don't Work - File Permission Issue

Recommended Posts

Posted

I was working on my server this afternoon trying to get a printer to work on

Terminal Services.

I must have changed something, and I can't remember what. When users log-on

to the terminal server they get the following message when clicking on almost

all of the icons on the desktop and start menu "Windows cannot access the

specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate

permissions to access the item."

I've checked and rechecked the share permissions and can't find a problem.

I rebuilt the mandatory profile. I've checked the group policy and can't

find a problem. I'm at wits end. Please help

Re: HELP! My Icons Don't Work - File Permission Issue

I checked out the link you posted - thanks. The problem is it didn't work.

I'm still unable to reach any of the applications listed. No programs/exe

files have been moved recently. It was working, then it wasn't. Could it

have anything to do with profiles?
