squeak Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I'm currently running on 3GB RAM, Dual core AMD. How can I over clock my PC? And what is the safest way to do it, and the safest overclock limit? Quote

BeeCeeBee Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 We have a number of people who may be able to help you with overclocking but I know that they will want a lot more system information than you have supplied. I suggest you gather up info on your mobo, graphics card etc. If it is a store bought system the manufacturer and model number would be helpful. What are the specs for the AMD? squeak Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 I'm a music producer and need the system to run quicker. I'll post all the info tonight. :) Quote
BeeCeeBee Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I'm a music producer and need the system to run quicker.Hello Squeak, I admit that I know nothing about being a music producer but we really need to know what it has to do with wanting to overclock for additional speed. You have 2 threads running at the moment and that is fine. However I am beginning to sense that they are inter-related and that there is more to this. You seem to be unable to run some commercial software after a reformat that was made necessary by some unidentified problems. You have plenty of Ram and, while we don't know what the cpu speed is, it cannot be so slow as to need overclocking to run music software. You really need to tell us how you use your pc if you want meaningful help instead of piecemeal suggestions. Quote "Familiarity breeds contempt - and children." Mark Twain
squeak Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 I will post a full PC spec tonight after I get in from work, and fully explain what the PC is used for.:) Quote
