Display flickering

We want to allow windows printer mapping to support local printing, but when

you log in and I have say 40 printers installed, the screen flickers and if

you try to select something and the screen flickers again, you loose what

you just tried to select.

 

How can we allow local printing on a win2k3 r2 sp2 ts without having the

screen flicker while it's adding printers from the local computer?

Are there any warning or errors in the EventLog on the server when

this happens?

nothing being recorded, but once I disabled windows printer mapping the

flickering goes away. . .

Just so that I understand your issue:

Do you have 40 different printers defined on your client, which you

want to redirect, or do you mean that the total number of

redirected printers (from all connected users) is around 40 when

this problem starts?
