swagatopablo Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I have a Transcend Jetflash 2GB USB drive. Whenever I plug it at USB 2.0, it gives an error message. It says EXCEPTION PROCESSING MESSAGE C0000013 PARAMETERS 75b and so on. Whichever option I click on, the error message refuses to go. Please help. Quote Swagato Barman Roy
RandyL Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Is this the drive and software? So many of these kinds of things come with software that I know nothing about. I wonder if this is a software issue of theirs and not a problem with the drive or your computer. I would be leary of some such software. This part concerns me. Simply unplug the JetFlash to lock, and plug it back to unlock. What if the flash drive fails? Is your computer locked due to the software and without the drive it stays locked? If it were me I would dump all the software and just use such a drive as a backup medium. Quote We are all members helping other members. swagatopablo Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 But this problem is Machine specific. I have tested various flash drives on my machines and got the error message. But they functioned properly in others. Note that in my machine too, they function well save from the error message. Quote Swagato Barman Roy
Goku Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) Hello Swagato. Please do the following and see if it resolves your problem or not. Disconnect your flash drive from the computer. Right-click on the green arrow icon in the system tray and select Safely Remove Hardware. This should provide you with a list of removable devices attached to the computer. Highlight the first entry and press the Stop button. Replug your device and see if it still gives you the error message or not. If it doesn't, then note down the device name and post back here. If it does, then repeat all the above instructions till the flash drive works flawlessly. Hope that helps. :) -- Goku Edited January 24, 2009 by Goku Quote
