Dial-a-fix

Prologue: Dial-a-fix is a small utility that is used to modify various aspects and policies of Windows. It can come in very handy to resolve common problems when advising users with little or no computer experience.

 

• Please download Dial-a-fix by DjLizard.
  
• Extract the contents of the archive to a convenient location.
  
• Browse to the extracted files and double-click on the file labeled Dial-a-fix.exe.
  
• The Dial-a-fix: Restrictive policies will automatically pop-up as shown below. Please ignore it by pressing the Close button.

• This should give way to the main Window. Check the following boxes, if present, so that it looks similar to the sample attached.

• Close all open applications, browser windows, etc. (including this one) and proceed to the next step.
  
• Press the GO button when ready.
  
• The process may take quite some time to complete so please wait patiently while the application performs its procedures.
  
• The boxes will begin unchecking themselves as the application completes a part of the directed instructions.
  
• Press the log button as directed in the image below and then, press the Copy button.

• Paste the contents of the log in your next reply.
  

Note: The above procedure will just modify some base aspects of the Operating System. It contains various advanced tools too that might be used when troubleshooting certain problems. Please make your instructions as concise as possible to avoid confusion.
