Guest Jeff Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Hey I'm using an win2k3 machine and are trying to install a Remote Agent for BackupExec 10d to the another win2k3 machine in my network. I do this installation process from the BackupExec program on my win2k3 machine. But the installation process is halted after selecting the remote computer. I get an "The RPC server is unavailable" error This services are running on the remote computer: - Remote Procedure Call (RPC) - Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator I've read on the net about workareounds involving copying the installation files to the remote agent and manually do the installation there. I've tryed this. Executed the installation file etc... but nothing happend... So that's why I really would like to perform this installation as it is should be - by using BackExec ... So any ideas on how to fix the "The RPC server is unavailable" error is greatly appreaciated! Jeff
