Guest Wolfeymole Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Are you talking about google as a browser add on or the google site it's self? Quote
DirtyPolo Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Hello david, If it is the Google Toolbar that you are talking about, then these steps should stop that problem: - Left click on the Google logo, on the left side of the toolbar, - Then select "Toolbar Options". - On the options page, uncheck the box for "Keep a search history in a drop-down list under the search box". If you are on about the google page itself, then that is your browsers Auto-Complete option. If you are using MS Internet Explorer, follow these steps: Click on the Tools menu Click on Internet Options Click on the Content tab In the Personal information section, click on the AutoComplete button Click on the Clear Forms button, and answer Yes to the resulting confirmation This will delete all of your auto complete items, not just in Google If you are using FireFox, these steps should work to delete the AuoComplete items: • Select "Tools" • Select "Options". • Select "Privacy". • In Private area click "Clear Now". • In "Clear Private Data" window put the check mark for "Saved form and Search History" and click "Clear Private Data Now". • Click OK. Alternatively, if you wish to disable it completly so you do not have to keep deleting it, then for IE: Select "Tools" • Select "Internet Options". • Open the "Content" tab. • Under AutoComplete, click "Settings" button. • In "AutoComplete Settings" window select what information your browser will remember - remove check marks from AutoComplete options you don't need (Web Address, Foms, User names and passwords on forms). • Click OK. And for FireFox: Select "Tools" then "Internet Options". • Select the "Privacy" tab. • Open "Save form information" category. • Remove the check mark from the "Save information I enter in web page forms and the Search Bar". • Click OK. Hope this helps! :D Edited January 28, 2009 by DirtyPolo Quote Cooler Master HAF 932Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.3GHzAsus P5K Premium Black Pearl2GB OCZ reaper 1066MHZATI Radeon HD4850Pictures!
