hi i have two desktops but am looking to build them into one i have taken the hard drive out of one and placed into the other (set to slave) but i can only seem to find 90% of the files etc that i want to use. but for some reason i can not access my photos etc on the drive acting as the slave.

 

any help would be great cheers

So both contain an OS yes?

its easier to burn to a disk what you want and then flatten the drive (not literally - reformat it)

so i guess using an external drive to copy all i want to keep to it the set it up on the new desktop as i would like would be the best way around it.
