I have WIndows Server 2003 R2 SP2 and all users can see the printers on the

terminal server, but not all apps can "locate' the printer Those that can are

word and IE, but not excel of quick books enterprise 5.0. The apps that cant

see the printers say 'no printer is installed' or 'can't locate printer'. any

ideas?

RE: No printer installed message

Hello,

This sounds familiar the problem I am having. See my post "Printer Spooler

Problem", just prior to your post. Our users have had this message as well.

Usually if I stop/start the spooler, then have the users log off/on ts, the

printers are back. Sometimes they get the same message you described,

sometimes the printers disappear from Printers and Faxes.

This has been an ongoing problem for me for a couple weeks, and just started

out of the blue.

RE: No printer installed message

The printers are always there, and stopping then restarting the spooler does

not help even if they logoff. It also only applies to new users not ones that

were added previously.
