Cannot find NETWOK SERVICE Account

I recently promoted a Windows 2003 server to be a backup domain controller

in a windows 2000 domain.

After that I could not find the NT Authority\Network Service Account.

 

Is this expected behavior?

Is there any way of recreating this account?

 

I was under the impression that the Network Service account was not a

account of the domain controller and only a account of member servers, but I

also read that I need to give it permissions to run IIS on a domain

controller.
