Hello simon,

Start, run and type winver. A window opens andyou see a line similar like

this:

Version5.2 Build ...................... inside it should be stated something

with R2 and at the end Service pack 2 or SP2

Best regards

Thanks for reply

This is what winver reports

Version 5.2 (build 3790.srv03_sp2_gdr.070304-2240:service pack 2)

Does this mean im not R2 version?

The server is only 4 months old! hasn't R2 been out ages?

Re: Disk quota in server 2003

Hello simon,

No R2 needs an additonal license, but if you have bought the 2003 as R2,

then you should have the license. Check out the labels on the boxes. Disk

1 is 2003 Standard/Enterprise and disk 2 is the R2 part.

For installing you only have to do again an adprep, if you install it as

a Domain controller. As a member server you can just install it like normal.

Best regards
